Mark 14: 1-31 Part One

The time has come to take the emotional journey with Christ as He walks towards the cross and all the suffering it entails. His role as our necessary atonement, sacrificing His own body and blood for the redemption of mankind, is vital. He is our only hope and makes a spiritual way for us to be restored with God our Father. Examine your heart to see who you are most like in this chapter thus far: Mary who spiritually understood and thus anointed Jesus for burial?...Judas who was deceived and lost, secretly arranging a betrayal appointment?...or Peter who was convinced he had the faith to face any challenge sent his direction?

Mark 13

Take heed to Jesus' words as He warns us about the importance, during the present end times of increasing darkness, not to be deceived nor lose hope. His words will remain forever within our hearts and minds. Jesus is the Saviour of the spiritual elect, the vulnerable in society, and of the innocent children that are under the age of accountability. God will protect His own, at all cost. Be alert, lively and watchful at every "changing of the guards", for you know not when your Messiah cometh to take you safely home. Love your enemies and pray for them. Feed His future sheep by offering sustenance to those who are spiritually starving, as they start to awaken to Christ.

 

Mark 12

As a human we must guard against our flesh rising up against the Lord in spiritual matters, trying to control the gospel message of salvation to profit ourselves in piety and riches, while oppressing both the poor in spirit and the needy "widows and orphans" that He so deeply wants to reach. Do not be a roadblock or a stumbling block to the thirsty in spirit! His heart searches the minds and hearts of mankind to know the truth of what they follow and whom they serve. The so-called truth that we live by will either save or judge us someday, as we face Jesus our Messiah and God our Father on Their thrones in eternity. Beware that you are also "not far from the kingdom" but never actually find it. Keep on searching and seeking for the Lord until He is found! Your eternity depends on it!

Mark 11

Prepare for the return of the Lord of the harvest! Seek Him diligently and His truth over the interpretations and creeds of man. Trust in His word and His promises. He is coming to prune his vineyard and restore truth and unity as He cleanses His church. We must have faith and truly have a heart for Him to be baptized by authority and power from God. We must become fruit bearers in His kingdom.

Mark 10 Part 2

Blindness comes in many forms. In this second part of the chapter, you will see: the "Holy Spirit sent" blindness of the disciples as Jesus tries to explain to them about His coming arrest, suffering, death and resurrection, the ignorant blindness of James and John asking to sit on Christ's right and left in eternity not knowing what it would cost them, and the physical blindness of Bartimaeus who spiritually heard the call of the Holy Spirit's offer to act in faith and come unto Jesus who could restore his sight and change his life forever. Pray to God to show you where you may still be blind and beg the Lord for mercy to restore your sight so you may glorify Him every day onward.

Mark 10 Part 1

Only God can bring the reconciliation between a husband and a wife when their hard hearts are humbled by the Holy Spirit and they are willing to hear the truth and repent. Surrender your marriage to the Lord who is the designer of marriage. He alone knows how to do the impossible to repair and heal a deep intimate wound, or to choose to rescue one spouse out of the injustice He is witness to. Refuse to allow the enemy to divide you. Instead, allow the Holy Spirit to teach you how to have a submissive childlike heart unto each other and unto the Lord. Give up self-importance and allowing the distractions of the world's riches to seduce your heart from the Lord. Your relationship with Him must come first. All else will fall into place.

Mark 9

What a great chapter with much insight into the inner arguments we sometimes have about our spiritual "greatness" and abilities we think we have, until we are put to the test and truly see that we were born into a lost and fallen state. We each must spiritually awaken to realize God is our Father, Creator, ruler and refiner, yielding to Him, Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit, to become spiritually transformed  and closely abide in His love. As we diligently seek Him and His will,  giving ourselves to prayer and fasting, we become humbled, obedient and willing to act in His power to love and serve others as both an extension of His body and as the salt of the earth. Become as a child and do not stop them.

Mark 8

Do you struggle to let go of control in your life? Will you follow the path of the Saviour by laying your life down on earth so you may gain an eternal reward that lasts forever? When the Lord examines your heart, does He see someone ashamed to speak of their relationship with Him or a completely surrendered and malleable soul who loves Him reciprocally? Don't hold on tightly to what will someday be destroyed. Seek Him with your whole heart. Invest time and opportunities in your spiritual life by obeying the Holy Spirit's promptings so you may grow closer to Christ, as He intimately shares His insight and teachings with you within your heart. 

Mark 7

Jesus warns us that the truth is we are often defiled within our spiritual heart yet live hypocritically as "righteous" outwardly for all the world to see. He needs us to choose to come to Him and acknowledge our need for His power to set us free from the demonic control over how we think, act, hear and speak. Be as bold and courageous as the Gentile woman who diligently sought Christ and begged Him for mercy for her daughter. Acting in obedience to the whisper of faith within her and speaking to Christ to get to "know" Him, she received the answer to her heart's desire for her daughter. Will you also seek Him while He may be found? 

Mark 6

What areas of unbelief or hard-heartedness do you still struggle with in trusting the Lord? Listen to some heart lessons learned from the parable of the horse whisper, as you join us in our study today. Discover the wonder and amazement of Christ's miracles and abilities as the great I Am, as He provides for the needs of His followers. Pray for whatever He needs to do in your life to create within you a humble and ready heart, one free from fears and trepidation. Remember always: The greatest miracle is the gift of eternal salvation and a true spiritual rebirth conversion by the living, present indwelling of the Holy Spirit within you.
